Chair Makeover and A Guest Post

I bought these chairs at the flea market two years ago. Possibly longer.

I finally decided on a fabric and now they’re like new.

Hooray for decision making.

I’m really happy with them and think they’re the right amount of pattern this room needed.

If only I could change out those floors soon too.

Baby steps.

Next up are drapes and new artwork. That green artwork back there is too matchy now. Or maybe it’s the side table. We’ll see.

I did, however, switch out the ole ceiling fan for a new (vintage) light fixture.

I love this too.

It reminds me of something you’d see in a Disneyland eatery, or something.

I’m thinking about doing a blog post on all the light fixtures I’ve swapped out. So far there’s been nine. Only one more ceiling fan to get rid of.

Before you go, come visit me at Sara’s blog, A Dose of Pretty, where I share my five must-have home accessories.

What’ll they be?

Come find out!

Happy Thursday.

Fab-u-lous. Love the pillow you used as well. I’d love to see a post about your light fixtures. That’s something I desperately need to do (switch out fixtures) but can never make up my mind!

  2. for some reason I can’t see the pic of the light fixture, but the chair is fabooo! (Stands up and claps)

I hear ya on ugly tile. Oh well, at least yours isn’t pinky-toned.

Please do a post on swapping out light fixtures! That would be one so many of us would lOVE to see!
Your chairs look amazing, especially with that peacock colored wall. I love it.
Love your comment about the vintage light looking like a Disney entry…so cute and true.
    Happy Easter.

  4. Aw I love those chairs – they look great. I gotta tell you though, I was fixated on the curly-que rattan side table! I had a headboard in my guest room for the longest time that was the SAME Pattern/material as that table… I was pretty partial to it, it was bright glossy kelly green (loved) and redunkulously obnoxious. I found it on the side of the road at the beach and my husband almost died when I stopped for it. 🙂 YAY

I’m so embarrassed for you to see my ceilings fans. I’m also counting on you to convince the husband to switch them out.

  6. I love it! Great pattern! I also love your teal-ish walls.

Why the eff can’t we have the time and money to instantly switch out flooring/chandys/furniture/ etc? I truly think it’s a tragedy that someone with taste as good as mine is so broke. 🙂

But back to YOU, your place looks awesome, awesome, awesome. Cheerful, chic, and interesting.

I already adored the fantastic lines of the twins, but now that they are adorned in fab-tastic fabric to boot…I think it’s become a full on obsession. Crap. I don’t know if there is anymore room for more obsessions in my life. Oh well, at least it’s a REALLY good one (c:
