Rat Tat Tan

7 Dec

The other day I saw this chair at IKEA and went back and forth – Should I buy it, should I not buy it? I thought it was best not to because my house already looks like it collects chairs, but the black rattan has me thinking it looks more chic and less beachy/country.

And as long as you mix your rattan with different stile pieces, it’ll look like you didn’t make a one stop shop at Pier 1.

Someone’s kitchen is my dream kitchen.

Rattan chairs mixed with a metal base Saarinen table.

The coral artwork makes this office area look totally beachy, but the turquoise rattan chair makes it all look lots more unique.

Black rattan side chairs bring in a subtle pattern.

Rattan stool is eye-catching, bringing in texture and interest.

For the lazies who didn’t click on the above link, this is what the black rattan IKEA chair looks like:

Where would it go and would it get a fabulous cushion or two? Don’t you have a rattan chair in your living room?

I need an easy button that shows me all of your house posts cause I can be a little slow.

Call me lazy – I don’t want to leave in the middle of your enticing post! ;o)
I know what you mean, sometimes it’s tough to bring in rattan. The ottoman is my new obsession! Also, did you see the designer Elizabeth had on Modern 24/7 yesterday? I pinned an image of a living room and she used two rattan chairs. Love it!

I love the stool, but I would be to scared to sit on it. That is a disaster waiting to happen. Look at the girl who broke the rattan stool.

Ok–I knew I liked you. I did a rattan round up for the House of Fifty blog a few months ago and even had a eerily similar blog title! Love your picks. Those barstools and the turquoise rattan chair are my faves.
