Contrast and Compare, Shall We?

5 Jan

Over the summer, we remodeled our bathroom. I discussed my ideas in this post. And now, today, I am going to share the 95% finished product.

Let’s go back and remind ourselves what 1955 looked like:

Adios. We’ll be friends another time, okay?

Here’s the during:

The Mold Cave

Drum Roll Please….

I present to you an updated 1955

[Left Photo] Love my knobs from Anthropologie. House of Honey bowl was blogged about here. Jars are from Cost Plus. [Right Photo] My beloved artwork is from 1969 and I just bought it at the thrift store on Monday. It was originally 80 dollars but I serendipitously went on a 50 percent off day. For those who suck at math, that means it was only 40 bucks. The Husband helped me hang it up last night and now he thinks I’m a risk taker for hanging artwork over a tub we don’t use. (We shower on the opposite end of the bathroom). He has a point and I’m hoping our vent keeps just enough moisture out to hold this piece intact. I’ll keep you posted.

Look at what else I moved around:

Just some stuff in these shelves.

[...] We ripped three closets and a hallway open in April of 2011 in hopes of throwing together a perfect little full bath in the middle of the house (we eventually have plans to turn the current full bathroom into the master bath so the addition of a new one was necessary). More on this soon, but it took a lot longer than anticipated. Inspiration image found here. [...]
